OUR MISSION:
The Johnson County Codes Department is dedicated to public safety in the built environment countywide through development and promotion of uniform codes and standards, enhancement of professionalism in code administration, and facilitation of acceptance of innovative building products and systems.
Resolution No. 018-13 to adopt and implement the "Johnson County Code of Regulations for Buildings and Construction, 2012 Edition", effective May 13, 2013.

As of May 13, 2013, Unincorporated Johnson County Building Codes has adopted and implemented the 2012 International Codes. All permit applications received as of May 13, 2013 will be subject to the 2012 Codes and any amendments to them. For additional information, please refer to the Adopted Codes below. There have been several changes, so be sure to refer to all updated forms and fee tables.
